I heart gardens! Morning Glory!
Sweet Peas!
And now for a recipe....
Applesauce snack cake
This is easy and from my Betty Crocker cookbook I recieved as a wedding present 17 years ago. It lends its self to fall flavor but we enjoy it year round. I hope you do too.
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground allspice
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup applesauce
1/3 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup vegetabel oil
1 teaspoon vinegar
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix Flour ,brown sugar, allspice, baking soda and salt with fork in greased square pan, 8x8x2 inches. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream even fresh fruit, like peaches or summer berries would be so wonderful. Enjoy.

Suzi,
If we lived closer we'dhave lunch together whenever possible! Talk, and laugh and pray in the white wicker chairs.
Hi T,
I hope all is well! It is fun to sneak a peak into your life. I bet the boys had a great time flying, give everyone our love. Thank you so much for little Z's gifts, and our house warming present, I hope my back yard can resemble yours one day!
Love,
Chuck
