A perfect December Day

We live down the hill, a 10 minute drive up six-mile canyon to this town http://www.virginiacity-nv.org/. They have the best Fourth of July fireworks display around. We've done that 3 years in a row, now I had heard of the "Christmas Parade of Lights", but was never brave enough to fight the cold weather to go see. But this year was different. We needed to go. We needed to something fun and childlike. I am so glad we did. We did freeze. But it was so worth it. Then we headed home for peppersteak, salad, chocolate cake, whipped cream and strawberries, 4 adults, 7 kids, crafts, and a game of pictionary. What a great December Day!
